What Does a Drone Company Have to Do With Anime?

More than you think and it happened today in Fort Worth.

If you had told us a year ago that Drone DMC would be on a college campus handing out swag in support of a Bible anime series, we would have said "actually, that sounds exactly like us."

Today the Drone DMC team showed up at Trinity Campus in Fort Worth, Texas alongside our partner History In Motion Studios - a Fort Worth-based independent animation studio doing something nobody has ever done at this scale before.

They are producing Shinjitsu Ugoki — which translates to Truth Movement — a full-length serialized Bible anime series rated TV-MA, built for the generation that grew up watching Naruto, Attack on Titan, and Demon Slayer. Founded by Edith Alvarado and led by a women-led Christian board, History In Motion Studios is merging theological research with cinematic animation technology to tell the greatest story ever told in the most powerful visual language of this generation.

And they are just getting started.

Why We Were There

History In Motion Studios is actively building their production team and today they brought that message directly to students at Trinity Campus. Summer internship opportunities are open right now for talented creatives ready to be part of something historic.

They are looking for:

Drone DMC was on the ground to help amplify that message, because when a faith-driven company with a vision this big needs support, you show up. We brought shirts, stickers, and a whole lot of energy to help get the word out to students who could be part of the team that brings Shinjitsu Ugoki to the world.

Drone DMC and History In Motion Studios don't look like obvious partners on the surface. One flies drones. One draws anime. But underneath both companies is the same conviction; that God-given talent, used with purpose and excellence, can reach people that traditional media never will.

History In Motion Studios believes that if we don't act, this generation's course will be directed by culture, not Scripture. We believe the same thing. We just express it differently - one frame at a time, from a few hundred feet in the air.

Watching students light up today when they heard what this studio is building reminded us exactly why we do what we do. This is bigger than drone photography. This is about being in the right rooms, with the right people, at the right time.
